Pondexter taken with 26th pick

In a bit of an ironic twist, Washington G/F Quincy Pondexter was drafted Thursday night by the Oklahoma City Thunder, the former Seattle SuperSonics. The Thunder took Pondexter, a 6-foot-7 senior, with the 26th overall pick of the draft. He was the first player taken from the Pac-10 conference.

Pondexter was picked by Oklahoma City as part of a proposed trade that has Kansas center Cole Aldrich heading to Oklahoma and Pondexter to New Orleans. Any draft-day deals aren't official until approved by the NBA.

We'll have more from Quincy, including his thought on getting drafted by OKC and reconnecting with former Sonic Kevin Durant, later tonight.
