Preparing To Play

WVU cornerbacks coach David Lockwood approached the absence of one of his players with a mix of wry humor and a pragmatic assessment of the challenges it presents.

One of Lockwood's players, Brandon Hogan, is expected to miss Saturday's game against Maryland after being arrested for DUI early last Sunday. Lockwood, however, doesn't spend time worrying about the fact -- he will simply work this week with the players that are available.

"It's time for some of the young guys to grow up," was Lockwood's mantra through an interview that ranged from Hogan's absence to the challenges of facing two different Terrapin quarterbacks. "Our approach is no different. You just get the next guy ready to go."
