Hot Start Continues for Mountaineer Wrestlers

West Virginia is off and running at the NCAA's with seven consecutive victories in early tournament action.

Wrestling in his second match of the day, Seth Lisa scored a narrow 9-8 victory at 125 pounds over Ryan McClester of the Citadel.

At 133, Brandon Lauer continue WVU's streak with a pin of Iowqa State's Zach Roberson. His win was backed up by Shane Cunanan's 4-1 victory over Penn's Doug McGraw.

The winning continued at 149 pounds, as Billy Smith scored a quick fall over Greg Austin of Rutgers in just 1:35.

Matt Lebe recorded his second win of the day and the seventh of the session for West Virginia with a 4-1 victory over Buffalo's Labe Black.
