"It's A Different Feeling"

West Virginia defensive lineman Chris Neild is trying to keep as many memories as possible from his final bowl trip as a Mountaineer, but he's also not losing sight of the bigger prize.

Chris Neild is taking a few more pictures and filing away some memories from the preliminaries to the 2010 Champs Sports Bowl, but he isn't losing focus on next Tuesday's game. While admitting that the gear he was able to purchase with his Best Buy gift certificate (a MacBook Air) is the best of all the bowl gifts he's received, he also knows the importance of good preparation for the game against N.C. State.

With just two full-bore practices in pads at the bowl site, Neild emphasized the importance of having good, crisp workouts.

"These have to be real crisp," Neild said of WVU's final two days of heavy work. "There can't be missteps or missed assignments. They have to be on point, and every period has to be all go."

In this interview, Neild elaborates on the defensive line's preparation for N.C. State quarterback Russell Wilson, and discusses his last bowl trip as a player.
