Learning Experience

West Virginia didn't get a clean sweep on its three-game road trip but the experience and bonding it gained on the swing from the Midwest to Washington D.C. could be a building block for the remainder of the season.

The Mountaineers were able to build confidence in winning its last two games against DePaul and Georgetown, and that should carry over as WVU returns home for three of its next four games, according to senior guard Joe Mazzulla.

"I think we can draw a lot from it. We did a great job of coming together as a team, and we learned how to win," he said.

In this interview, Mazzulla discusses the continuing evolution of the defense and the importance of intensity and continuity in building a solid team defensive outlook. He also spoke about scouting reports, and they way in which they are presented to the team.
