Keeping Focus

WVU center Deniz Kilicli appeared to be involved in a little dust-up with Seton Hall's Herb Pope in the Mountaineers' win on Wednesday, but he brushed it off as nothing more than frustration on the defeated Pirate's part.

While it appeared from afar that Deniz Kilicli and Pope were exchanging words as well, West Virginia's center noted that he was trying to stay out anything that would hurt him or his play.

"When they got behind, they started to get a little frustrated," said Kilicli, who also had to endure being blatantly pulled to the floor on one West Virginia transition. "I think the people in charge need to look at that and control it."

Kilicli was also encouraged to keep his focus by teammate Cam Thoroughman, who got his attention forcefully after the encounter and reminded him to keep his mind on the game.

In this interview, Kilicli provides further quotes on the encounter and also discusses his propensity to score in bunches.
