As the only holdover member of the offensive coaching staff, outside receivers coach Lonnie Galloway is already learning the new system that will be installed in spring practice. While it's important that he has a full grasp of everything before he begins teaching it to his receivers, he says he's confident he'll be ready to go. Galloway mentions his experience as a quarterback, along with an ability to assimilate new information quickly, as reasons for his confidence.
Once fall comes, Galloway will be working with a new pair of outside receivers that will bring more size, and hopefully more production, to the position. In this interview, Galloway discusses the newcomers, the process of learning the new system, and some of the things he is looking for in outside receivers.
