Academic Achievement

Eighteen Mountaineer football players were named to the 2010 Big East All-Academic football team on Tuesday

Only one league member had more players on the team that West Virginia, which has consistently been at the top of the league in academic achievement over the past decade. To be nominated, a player must have a cumulative grade-point index of at least 3.0 and completed a minimum of two semesters of academic work.
