Joe Mazzulla set the pace early for West Virginia in its 82-71 win over DePaul.

Joe Mazzulla and his teammates wanted to get out to a good start against DePaul after losses in their previous two games, and they did just that in the opening half of their seventh conference win.

As is typically the case in WVU wins, Mazzulla was at the center of the action. He scored on a designed screen and backcut on West Virginia's opening possession, handled DePaul's press well, dished out assists and rebounded the ball on the defensive end to help power WVU's 47-point first-half effort.

In this interview, Mazzulla discusses the good start, the way in which the Mountaineers handled the press, and the contribution his rebounding makes to the overall team effort.
