Ready For The Big Apple

As West Virginia travels to New York City for the first time as defending Big East champions, senior forward John Flowers may have a bit of extra motivation.

"I know what I did and what I'm capable of doing, and my teammates have faith in me," Flowers said of being passed over for Big East defensive player of the year. While Flowers said more than once, both in interviews and via his Twitter account, that winning the award itself wasn't of great importance, he also indicated that not winning t might provide him some extra motivation.

In this interview, Flowers also discusses going to the tournament as defending champions and the different feel the Big East tournament has as opposed to the NCAAs.
