West Virginia will travel to Charleston, W.Va., to host Morehead State in the Mountaineer Diamond Classic on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at Appalachian Power Park ... the team then travels to Louisville for a three-game series to continue Big East play.

The team split a 1-1 series with Eastern Michigan, winning the first game 20-6 and then falliing by a 9-7 score in the second game ... in its first Big East series of the year, the Mountaineers took a 2-1 series against the South Florida Bulls, losing the first game, 8-4, then winning two consecutive by scores of 9-3 and 7-6, respectively ... southpaw freshman pitcher Harrison Musgrave had a solid game against the Bulls in the second game of the series and all nine starters earned hits in the victory ... The Mountaineers (7-10, 3-3 Big East) went 1-2 on the road last week as they fell to South Carolina State (0-7) in Orangeburg, S.C., then defeated South Carolina Upstate (6-1) in Spartanburg, S.C. WVU finished the week in Richmond, Va., where it fell 0-7 to the Spiders.
