Solid Start

Offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh was pleased with the performance of the offensive line on first day of spring practice drills for West Virginia.

Admittedly, one practice is in no way enough to judge a player or a group, but Bedenbaugh was happy with the way his charges started off the 2011 campaign.

"It was much better than I expected," the offensive line mentor said following drills. "It's not like we're a finished product, but they did some good things."

In this interview, Bedenbaugh also expressed his feeling on working without pads and the transition from film and class work to the practice field, and again emphasized the philosophy of keeping instruction simple.
