Reid Continues Wave of WVU Commitments

Albert Reid, a two-way standout from the Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, D.C., became the third commitment to West Virginia in the past week when he gave his pledge to the Mountaineers on Thursday.

Albert Reid, who helped lead his 7 on 7 team to a win in the Mel Kiper Jr. 7on7 Championship tournament earlier this month, made WVU his choice over offers from Cincinnati, Colorado, Duke, Iowa, Stanford and Buffalo. A fast runner with great reaction time, Reid could fit at several positions at West Virginia. He hits holes well and pops out with explosiveness, and on defense he tracks the ball well and high-points the ball well. rates Reid as the #52 cornerback in the country, marking him as a three-star prospect.

Reid is the eighth player to commit to West Virginia's football class of 2012.
