OL Bolstered

A junior college offensive lineman has become West Virginia's 12th commitment in the football class of 2012.

WVU added more size to its offensive line recruiting class on Sunday when Will Latu of the College of the Canyons became the Mountaineers' second offensive line pledge. He joins Tyler Orlosky, who committed to WVU in late June.

Latu, one of the top junior college offensive line prospects in the country, ahd more than a dozen offers before choosing West Virginia. A native of St. Petersburg, Fla., Latu redshirted one year in Division II before transferring to the College of the Canyons.

At six feet, fice inches and 315 pounds, Latu is squarely in the mold of the biggger linemen desired by offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh and head coach Dana Holgorsen. He is solid in both blocking phases, but believes he is a bit more advanced as a pass protector.

Latu could graduate in December and be on campus as early as January, 2012. He will have two years in which to play his two remaining seasons in Division I.
