BGN Podcast: Camp Prep

With the opening of West Virginia's pre-season football camp less than two weeks away, we wrap up a busy summer of activities and look ahead to Dana Holgorsen's first set of practices as the chief of the Mountaineer program.

Each year, it seems as if the "off-season" on the West Virginia sports scene is anything but. May, June and July have been full of topics to keep Mountaineer fans riveted, if not always happy, with their team, but some honest-to-goodness on the field action is just around the corner.

In this edition of the podcast, we wrap up the announcement of the James Madison game in Washington, D.C. and discuss the future of such contests on the WVU schedule. How many can we expect, and what other venues might the Mountaineers explore games in?

Also up for discussion:

  • Recent NCAA rule changes and proposals -- is there real momentum for serious change, or is this just another tempest that will soon die down?

  • Fall football camp -- What topics are of the most pressing concern? Which questions can be answered in August, and which ones will have to wait until the season arrives?
