"I did it in front of my family after we thought about the visit and ate some food," Sam Lebbie said in a text to Scout.com's Kristen Kenney. "My family and I felt good about it, and I did it."
Lebbie, an outstanding linebacker who has been a heavy lean toward WVU for some time, has been anticipating the trip for a good while, but he still took the time to check out everything with his family before making the final decision. Once he did, however, he quickly fell into a comfort zone.
"It feels like home away from home!" he exclaimed. "Now I'm ready to focus on the season."
Lebbie had offers from Illinois, Maryland, Cincinnati, Rutgers and Vanderbilt, in addition to WVU. He is the 14th commitment in West Virginia's 2012 football recruiting class, and the second linebacker in the group. He joins Joseph Jackson of First Coast H.S. in Jacksonville, Fla., in the class.
