Live Coverage From Big East Meetings

Metronews will provide live coverage of the Big East meetings, which will be held this weekend in Ponte Vedra, Fla.

Hoppy Kercheval will be covering the meetings on the outskirts of Jacksonville. The dean of West Virginia radio broadcasters, Kercheval will be on the scene to provide interviews and information to Metronews from these all-important meetings, which figure to determine the future of the Big East Conference.

The Big East meetings will start on Saturday afternoon with several get-togethers and discussion sessions for the league's coaches. The heart of the four days in Ponte Vedra doesn't figure to start until Sunday morning when all 15 Big East athletic directors sit down as a group for the first time. That meeting will include only the athletic directors and Big East officials. The various school presidents will not be in attendance in Ponte Vedra, and only the athletic directors are allowed to represent their respective schools.

Kercheval will cover each step, providing continual updates on MetroNews, and also join Metronews' "Sportsline" on Sunday night from 6:06-8 p.m. Kercheval will also do live segments from Ponte Vedra during "Talkline" on Monday and Tuesday mornings from 10:06 a.m. to noon, as well as "Sportsline" both of those nights from 6:06-7 p.m.

The Metronews website will feature regular reports from Kercheval from Saturday through Tuesday. Both "Talkline" and "Sportsline" can be heard throughout the state of West Virginia on various Metronews affiliates.

The programming is also available on the Internet, but only with a subscription to Metronews' "All Access." To find out more about subscribing to "All Access," click on the "All Access" press pass in the upper right hand corner of the home page.
