Two Jucos In, One on Board

Two junior college players visited West Virginia this weekend, and the Mountaineers received a commitment from one of them as their time on campus concluded

Wide receiver Danny McKinney, a 6-1, 220-pound outside pass catcher from the City College of San Francisco, wrapped up his visit with a commitment to WVU on Sunday. His teammate, Pierce Burton, also made a visit, but will take other visits before making his final decision.

McKinney originally verballed to Eastern Michigan out of Melvindale High School in Melvindale Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. He graduated from that school in 2008, and is currently in his sophomore season at City College.

McKinney brings WVU's current list of wide receiver commitments to five. Devonte Mathis, Dee Joyner, Devonte Robinson and Deontay McManus are also currently pledged to the Mountaineer program.
