Maximum Return

Najee Goode is playing his final game for West Virginia in the Orange Bowl -- a long way from his walk-on start at WVU.

Najee Goode started his WVU career at the bottom of the linebacker depth chart, but has elevated himself to a sopt as a senior leader and WVU's most productive, consistent linebacker. He's rightfully proud of that accomplishment, but is quick to give credit to the players that he learned from.

"I'm proud of myself, and of the guys with me," he said of the process, noting that he learned from players such as Reed Williams when he was younger.

In this interview, Goode also discusses the team's reaction to the loss of Dustin Garrison, and shares the freshman's thoughts when he spoke with him the night after the injury.
