Early Start

With the ink barely dry on the letters of intent of the football class of 2012, West Virginia already has an early start of the Class of 2013

Jayme Thompson, a multi-skilled players from Central Catholic High School in Toldeo, Oh., informed BlueGoldNews.com that he has committed to West Virginia. Thompson actually made the decision a couple of weeks ago, but wanted the Class of 2012 to get its due before announcing his commitment.

Thompson had early recruiting interest from Oklahoma, Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, West Virginia Wisconsin and Bowling Green. He attended one of West Virginia's summer football camps, and has remained in close contact with the Mountaineers ever since.

Thompson told BlueGoldNews.com that he liked the relationship he has built with the coaches at West Virginia, and was excited to be the first member of next year's class.

BlueGoldNews.com will have more from Thompson later today.
