Five Games On Tap For Pittsnogle

One week from today, Mountaineer sophomore Kevin Pittsnogle will be back in Texas in his effort to make the final roster of the US Junior National team.

Pittsnogle, who earned a roster spot among the final 16 of the Men's Junior national team, will play five contests in the 2003 Global Games. Performance in those games, as well as in the practice sessions leading up to those games, will determine the final roster of 12 players who will compete in the 2003 FIBA Men's Junior World Championship in Greece.

The USA Junior World Championship Team will open its training June 24 utilizing the Dallas Mavericks' practice facility in the American Airlines Center, and will also participate in the 2003 Global Games. Those games should provide invaluable international playing experience for the squad.

The USA will take on Lithuania (June 30), Texas (July 1), Africa (July 2) and Canada (July 3). The finals of Global Games will be played on July 5.

The 2003 Global Games are scheduled at Southern Methodist University's Moody Coliseum. Tickets are available at the SMU/Moody Coliseum Box Office and are $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger.
