McCune, a Saginaw, Mich., native, played in 13 games but hasn't played since Feb. 28 vs. DePaul.
He played his most extensive minutes on Nov. 28 vs. Akron. He had 11. He scored five career points in his first season before leaving the team.
McCune was suspended twice in his time as a Mountaineer, once over the summer after being charged with shoplifting and later due to an undisclosed reason during the season in which he did not travel with the team to one road game.
