The honors continue to pile up for WVU senior Kevin Jones, who was named a second-team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, announced Tuesday.
Jones, a senior, was one of three Big East players among the 15 players the NABC named to its three All-America teams.
He was joined on the second team list by Kris Joseph of Syracuse. Marquette's Jae Crowder, the Big East player of the year, was named to the third team.
Jones averaged 19.9 points and 10.9 rebounds per game this season, becoming the first West Virginia player to average a double-double since Maurice "Mo" Robinson did so in 1978.
A Mount Vernon, N.Y., native, Jones finished his career with 1,822 points and 1,048 rebounds. He and Mountaineer legend Jerry West are the only players in school history to finish with 1,700 points and 1,000 rebounds.
