Miles (teamed with players mostly from Duquesne, Robert Morris and Youngstown State) finished with 10 points and six rebounds. He was 3-of-8 from the field and made all four of his free throw attempts.
But it was the nightcap that featured the most Mountaineer flavor, as Oliverio's Peppers knocked off SPK Law 75-56.
For the Peppers, WVU's Matt Humphrey finished with 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting to go with five boards and two assists. He was closely followed by Jabarie Hinds, who had 11 points and four rebounds. Hinds struggled from the field, finishing only 5-of-14.
Terry Henderson rounded out the trio of Mountaineers on the Oliverio's squad, finishing with six points, three rebounds and a pair of assists. Regarded as an outside shooting specialist, Henderson did not attempt a single 3-pointer.
Aaron Brown finished with three points, a rebound and an assist for SPK Law. He attempted only three shots. His new West Virginia teammate, Eron Harris, added six points, four boards and two assists in a losing effort.
The Pro Am League will take a break on Wednesday for the Fourth of July holiday before resuming on July 9.
