Premium Video: Pinstripe Bowl Media Day

Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey are both prepared for anything the weather throws at them in Saturday's Pinstripe Bowl, but both would certainly like to be playing on a fast, dry track.

Stedman Bailey would have liked to have had a bit more preparation on the practice field for the Pinstripe Bowl, but he doesn't think WVU will suffer any ill effects from the lack of outdoor preparation. He's more concerned with conditions during the game, and identifies the one weather factor that is the most difficult for him to cope with.

Tavon Austin believes that the break in West Virginia's practices came at a good time, and the the recharge time at home over Christmas break was needed. He said he relaxed and met with friends over the break, but was careful not to get out of shape, which can happen surprisingly quickly.

Will Clarke emphasized the amount of work West Virginia put in prior to breaking for Christmas, and reiterated defensive coordinator Keith Patterson's view of that time as very productive. He thinks West Virginia won't have any problems in executing any changes Patterson has put in place.

Shannon Dawson discussed the differences in this year's Syracuse defense as opposed to that of 2011. He also shared the urgency of his players who want to earn a measure of retribution for the past two results against the Orange.
