BGN Podcast: Transition Edition

West Virginia's football season ended with a whimper, but is it fair to call the season a disappointment based on preseason predictions that focused almost entirely on the talent the Mountaineers had at the skill positions?

We examine that question and much more in the latest edition of our podcast, as Kevin, Patrick and Matt wrap up football season and discuss matters related to WVU's basketball campaign as it enters Big 12 play.

First and foremost on that list: is there a common link between West Virginia's two flagship athletics programs in that both lacked obvious leaders among the players? Who might be best suited to serve as the Mountaineers' leader on the floor?

Also, we dissect Bob Huggins' recent installation of the dribble-drive offense. Should WVU play without a true post player to give it the best chance at success? Or is there a role for the big men to play even in a different sort of offensive scheme?

As always, we welcome suggestions for topics for our weekly podcast from listeners. Simply post on our message boards at, post on our Facebook page or tweet us @BlueGoldNews and we'll be sure to respond.
