Rehab, Trip On Tap

As Jacky Marcellus takes the next step in his injury rehabilitation, he's also preparing to take an official visit to his college destination.

Jacky Marcellus, who suffered a torn ACL during his senior season, has been involved in the early stages of rehabilitation since undergoing suregery on Dec. 19.

"The surgery went well," he said of the initial stages of his recovery. "I've been rehabbing about three weeks. So far, I've been working on range of motion stuff. I'll be starting with some weights soon."

While Marcellus goes through that process, he's also preparing for his official visit to West Virginia this weekend, and has some specific plans in mind.

"I want to talk to the academic advisors and discuss things I'm interesed in studying," said Marcellus, who is looking at majors in the sports management field. "I also want to check everything else out and see how it all looks, and how I feel there."

Marcellus wants to see as much as he can on his visit to West Virginia, but its not because he's comparing it to any other school. He is firmly committed to the Mountaineers, and said he is not taking any other visits before he signs his letter of intent. He plans to work diligently on his rehab before coming to WVU this summer.

"The coaches are encouraging me to follow my rehab, to not miss any workouts and to keep working on it," he said. "That's what I'm planning to do."
