Curtis Feigt is in the atypical position of competing directly for a starting job with his roommate and friend Nick Kindler. Feigt, who said Kindler and he are "like brothers," wants desperately to get back to the starting position he briefly held last season before getting injured.

Ford Childress is getting far more reps than he did last season, when he was the third-string quarterback and an obvious redshirt candidate. But that's not the only difference from this spring to last spring, he said, as he recently watched old tapes of himself from last spring and couldn't believe the difference in his play just a year later.
