Good Company, Good Visit

Fresh off a recent offer from West Virginia, JaQuan Davidson visited the Mountaineer campus this past Saturday to take in the Gold-Blue spring football game.

Elizabeth (Pa.) athlete JaQuan Davidson had never visited WVU before. So once an offer from the Mountaineers was extended, he knew had to make the trip. According to Davidson, the visit couldn't have gone better.

"It was a wonderful time," Davidson said. "It was a really good trip. I thought the game went well and the atmosphere was good. I am definitely making my way back to Morgantown soon."

Accompanying Davidson on the visit was his childhood friend, current Mountaineer commit Ricky Rogers. Having Rogers alongside with him proved to be valuable.

"I got to hang out with Ricky, which was great," he said. "He was able to introduce me to some people and show me around a little bit. After seeing everything on the trip they (WVU) are No. 1 on my list right now."

Davidson, a 6-foot-3, 180 pound athlete, is being recruited by the Mountaineers on both sides of the ball. The position, according to Davidson, doesn't matter. He's just looking to get on the field and contribute.

"Both the defensive and offensive coaches like me," Davidson said. "I know they're thinking about me playing safety or wide receiver. It doesn't really matter, though. I'll play any position as long as I'm playing."

This summer, Davidson plans on taking several visits and participating in camps to put his skills on display. While the destinations of those plans are unclear at the moment, he hopes to see as many places as possible.

"My summer plans are to visit schools and go to camps," he said. "I want to workout and get better."
