Photos\Interviews: TCU Game One

In what's becoming a routine in game one of Big 12 series, West Virginia's Harrison Musgrave outdueled his counterpart to give the Mountaineers a 1-0 lead.

Musgrave settled into a groove and struck out 14 batters to power WVU to a 2-0 win over TCU in the first game of Satuday's doubleheader.

Musgrave threw 143 pitches in throttling the Horned Frogs, and head coach Randy Mazey again gave him credit for a rigorous offseason program that allowed him to go the distance.

Musgrave yielded just three hits and one walk, with two of those coming in the ninth inning. He noted that he had all three of his pitches working, and was able to settle into a groove early to keep TCU's batters off balance.

The shutout lowered Musgrave's ERA to 2.14 on the season.
