Miles Sets Date

Dunbar High School guard Daxter Miles is still awaiting news on his standardized test score, but with that event just a couple of weeks away, he hopes to move quickly once the news is in.

Daxter Miles is confident that his latest attempt to reach a qualifying test score to pair with his GPA will be successful, and once that is confirmed he plans to make his college choice known quickly.

"I'm planning right now for June 2," Miles told "West Virginia is my favorite, and that's who I'm planning to sign with. My GPA is good, I just need that test score."

WVU does not currently have a roster spot open for Miles, but with the start of the fall semester still more than three months away, that's not a showstopper in terms of accepting a commitment. West Virginia has taken verbal walk-on commitments from guards Chase Connor and Brett Morris for this fall, but another guard on the roster, especially one that can handle the ball, would be a welcome addition for the Mountaineer coaching staff.

Miles plans to announce his commitment via his Twitter and Facebook pages.
