Camp Schedules Underway

Over the next couple of months Mountaineer Field is expected to be flooded with recruits as WVU conducts its summer camping season. Several prospects have made their attendance plans known, and we bring our readers up-to speed on whom to expect.

  • Niles McKinley (OH) offensive tackle Josh Krok plans to visit West Virginia on June 14th. The talented lineman doesn't plan to participate in any activity drills, but will visit with the coaching staff and tour the facilities.

    Krok (6-9, 300 lbs) currently holds offers from West Virginia, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Louisville and numerous MAC schools.

  • Hamilton HS (OH) offensive lineman Devan Pankey (6-6, 295 lbs) plans to camp on June 16th. The younger brother of Mountaineers offensive lineman Adam Pankey also plans to visit Akron before heading to Morgantown.

  • Another prospect planning to visit the Mountaineers for camp on June 16th is Cameron Taylor.

    The Northmont HS (OH) wide receiver has visited West Virginia on numerous occasions, and is coming in search of an offer.

  • It appears Cleveland (OH) athlete Malik Duncan's promise to Mountaineer assistant Ron Crook is about to come true, as he is also scheduled to camp with the Mountaineers on that date. The two-way athlete recently told he was asked recently by Crook to visit this summer, and assured him "he'd love to visit" and would "for sure" make the camp.

    Duncan, who is still searching first his first offer, has received interest from Pittsburgh, Eastern Michigan, Bowling Green and Akron.

  • Fresh off receiving his first BCS offer (Cincinnati), King HS (MI) defensive back Avonte Maddox plans to visit West Virginia on June 8th. He is also planning to camp at Maryland and Northwestern this summer.

  • Imhotep (Pa.) wide receiver Terrill Gillette is planning to be in attendance for West Virginia's camp on June 9th. The 2015 product is also planning to camp at a variety of schools this summer including Pittsburgh, Ohio State, North Carolina State, Tennessee and Georgia.
