West Virginia made it four verbals in three days when it added a pair of Florida commitments to the fold on Tuesday night.
The Mountaineers went two for one on wide receivers on the evening, adding Florida passcatchers Jacob McCrary and Lamar Parker to the fold. McCrary had long been a WVU lean, and he indicated earlier Tuesday that Parker could be joining him at WVU.
On Tuesday evening, McCrary tweeted that he "was a Mountaineer" and confirmed in a text message to BlueGoldNews.com that he had spoken to West Virginia's coaches to commit.
Earlier, McCrary indicated that fellow wideout Lamar Parker had committed to West Virginia, and that verbal has also been confirmed.
McCrary, ranked as the #91 wideout in the nation by Scout.com, committed to Florida State
at earlier junctures but decided to evaluate other options. He had offers from a number of schools, including Alabama
, Clemson, FSU, Notre Dame
, Ohio State
Parker is also highly regarded, having earned offers from Arizona, Boston College, Florida State, Kentucky, Mississippi, Texas A&M and Washington State.
The pair of commitments brings West Virginia's Class of 2014 to five verbals. Lineman Amanii Brown committed on Monday, joining quarterback William Crest and wide receiver Ricky Rogers.
