Freshman Devin Williams continued to show his abilities in The Lair's 108-90 semifinal win over P&W BMW in Pittsburgh Pro-Am Summer League action. The strongly-built Ohio native scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds in helping knock off the #1 seeded BMW team.
Williams was 6-13 from the field and 3-4 from the free throw line, and also had an assist in the win. Teammate Chase Connor had one of his best outings, scoring six points on a pair of three-pointers while adding an assist against no turnovers.
Meanwhile, Harris saw his first action in the run-up to the Four Nations Cup, scoring 11 points and snaring four rebounds in the East Coast All Stars' 85-77 exhibition loss to the Rapla Basketball Club. According to a report filed by the East Coast team, Harris was part of an early run that helped the All Stars get off to a 24-20 first period lead. Harris also has one assist in the contest.
The All Stars begin play in the Cup on Thursday, with match-ups still to come. Harris is one of five guards on the 12-man All Stars' roster.
