Silva led the Mountaineers with six points on their way to defeating Richmond and Wright State. She tallied her sixth assist of the season on Friday night against Richmond, centering a pass to sophomore Kelsie Maloney three-yards in front of the Spider goal.
On Sunday against Wright State, Silva became the sixth player in program history to record the program-best three assists in a single match. She assisted goals by junior forward Kate Schwindel, redshirt freshman Carly Black and sophomore midfielder Amanda Hill all in the first half. Silva's nine assists this season ranks her fifth in program history for a single season.
Silva netted her sixth goal of the season midway through the second half against the Raiders on Sunday. Sophomore forward Kailey Utley made a run into the WSU box and centered a pass to Silva, who beat the keeper on the right post.
Silva leads the Big 12 Conference with 21 points this season. WVU opens Big 12 play on Friday, Sept. 27, at Oklahoma State.
