Baseball to Take On Virginia Tech

In a press conference on Friday, West Virginia athletic director Oliver Luck announced that the WVU baseball team will take on Virginia Tech in Princeton, W.Va., this season.

The game will be played Tuesday, May 6 at 6 p.m. at Hunnicutt Field.

Hunnicutt Field is the home of the Princeton Rays, the Advanced Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Virginia Tech and West Virginia have faced each other 84 times, with the Mountaineers coming into the 2014 game with a 31-52-1 record all-time against the Hokies.

The two teams did not play last season, but West Virginia fell to Virginia Tech 7-4 early in the 2012 season and lost 14-3 in 2010.
