BGN Video: The Guards

Guard play was something that Bob Huggins had a feeling could be a strength for this year's West Virginia basketball team heading into the 2013-14 season.

And in Monday's exhibition game against Fairmont State, the backcourt play was pretty solid for the Mountaineers against the Falcons.

With sophomore guard Terry Henderson out of the lineup with shin inflammation, West Virginia had just three scholarship guards available for Monday's game that served as its lone exhibition before Friday's season opener against Mount St. Mary's.

Eron Harris led the scoring for the Mountaineers as the sophomore finished with 30 points, going 3-of-7 from beyond the arc and making 15 of his 20 attempts from the free throw line.

Junior Gary Browne scored 18 points (12-of-15 from the charity stripe) with four rebounds and three assists and Juwan Staten scored 13 points and had three assists.

Harris and Browne met with the media after the game.
