Lewis Continues Miramar Connection

West Virginia continued its football recruiting success in the 2015 class when Miramar, Fla., wide receiver Kahlil Lewis committed on Wednesday.

Kahlil Lewis pledged to West Virginia on Wednesday, marking the fourth verbal commitment for the Class of 2015.

"I'm excited about being a part of the Mountaineer family," Lewis told BlueGoldNews.com. "I'm really excited and just can't wait."

Lewis, who received his initial offer from the Mountaineers in April, spoke highly of West Virginia. Lewis, who projects as a slot receiver, prides himself on being a difference-maker on the field.

"I like to just play football and make plays," he said. "I want the ball in my hands and make plays."

In addition to the Mountaineers, the rising senior also held offers from Nebraska and Western Michigan. He had begun to receive interest from a variety of programs including Miami, USF and Washington State.

He wrapped up his 2013 campaign with 20 catches for 372 yards.
