McBeam led the way for the Mountaineers at the SPIRE Invitational in Geneva, Ohio, placing first overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.72 meters. The jump was McBeam's personal-best mark as a Mountaineer.
The St. Ann, Jamaica native eclipsed her previous best mark of 1.70 meters. This is McBeam's first year of competition with the Mountaineers after transferring from Central Michigan.
