Hines Plans Big 12 Visit

A highly-touted running back plans to visit West Virginia in the upcoming weeks. BlueGoldNews.com breaks down the details of that visit, and where the Mountaineers stand in his recruitment.

Garner (N.C.) four-star running back Nyheim Hines will visit West Virginia on June 2, he confirmed with BlueGoldNews.com. The visit is part of a northeast tour that will also include a stop at Ohio State.

"I'm visiting West Virginia and really looking forward to it," Hines said. "They are a school I'm definitely interested in so I can't wait to visit."

West Virginia has two commitments at the running back position currently in the fold, William Cameron and Alex Anderson. That hasn't kept the Mountaineer staff from being active with Hines, though -- and for good reason.

As a junior, the 5-foot-9, 187-pound running back rushed for 3,140 yards and 49 touchdowns. He also recorded 600 yards receiving with nine scores.

In addition to WVU, Hines has secured verbal offers from over a dozen programs including Florida, Notre Dame, Clemson, Ohio State and South Carolina.

Hines is rated a four-star prospect by Scout.com and the 23rd best running back in the country.

BlueGoldNews will have more from Hines following his upcoming visit.
