Love Recaps WVU Visit

Long Beach (Calif.) quarterback Josh Love made an unofficial visit to West Virginia on Tuesday. He shares his thoughts on the trip with and updates his recruitment.

Long Beach (Calif.) quarterback Josh Love is searching high and low for his first offer. His latest quest brought him across country — to the mountains of West Virginia.

After competing in the Columbus, Ohio edition of the Elite 11, Love made the short trip east to visit the Mountaineers.

"It went well," Love said, recapping his visit. "I got a better feeling with the university and the offensive scheme and how my skills would fit in."

While on campus, Love made it a priority to fit as much in as possible given the short period of a one day visit.

"I toured the campus and the facilities," Love explained. "I got to meet some players and (head coach Dana) Holgorsen. I got to sit down and talk with Coach (Shannon) Dawson and also watch film."

Love (6-2, 188 lbs.) threw for more than 1200 yards and completed 62% of his passes while only playing half the season as a junior. He tossed 17 touchdowns to only two interceptions.

In addition to West Virginia, programs such as Oregon State, BYU, Illinois and Mississippi State have also taken notice.

For the time being, though, Love will patiently wait hoping to hear good news come his way from the Mountaineers.

"I'm just waiting on an offer," Love said. "They (WVU) have extended offers ahead of knowing me. We will see how things shake out."
