The West Virgnia football program capitalized on their recruiting efforts this past weekend with its matchup against nationally ranked Oklahoma. The Mountaineers hosted a wide range of visitors, including Eric Kumah.
"It [visit] was very good, I loved it there," Kumah said.
While the visit was considered a one day "business trip" Kumah felt the avid West Virginia fan base, and along with his tour of the area, helped him form an early thought on the Mountaineers.
"The fans are wild, but funny," Kumah explained. "The fans are amazing. I just loved it there. I grew up in West Virginia [Grant County] so I just like everything about it."
"When I went up there we walked around campus then went to the football facility and watched the game," Kumah continued. "We had an all around great time being around everyone."
As a sophomore, Kumah finished with 19 catches for 337 yards and five touchdowns in only five games.
He hopes to visit West Virginia for another game this season, followed by a return trip for camp next summer.
