Settle Sets WVU Official

Manassas (Va.) defensive tackle Tim Settle is in the process of taking official visits, and confirmed with BlueGoldNews.com his plans for both a new and a return trip.

Manassas (Va.) defensive tackle Tim Settle will make a return trip to West Virginia in October for an official visit, he confirmed to BlueGoldNews.com.

The Scout four-star prospect will visit on October 18 when the Mountaineers host Baylor.

The 6-foot-2, 340 pound, Settle, visited the Mountaineers unofficially for their game against Oklahoma earlier this month. Following that visit he outlined a potential return trip, though he was unsure of an exact date.

“I had a great time down there,” Settle told Scout.com recruiting analyst Michael Clark following his visit. “What really stood out to me was how crazy the fans are and how loud it gets in the stadium. The football program is definitely on the rise.”

West Virginia made Settle a top priority for their class of 2015 throughout the recruitment process. A position of need, the Mountaineers currently hold only one pledge for the defensive line in Oviedo (Fla.) lineman Alec Shriner.

Settle is coming off his first official visit this past weekend to Virginia Tech. Other programs considered to be in the running for an official visit are UCLA, Florida State, Oklahoma State and Penn State.

BlueGoldNews.com will continue to monitor Settle’s recruitment and provide updates leading up to his visit.
