JUCO DE Jefferson commits to WVU

West Virginia received its 20th commitment for the 2015 recruiting class when junior college defensive end Larry Jefferson announced he will be coming to Morgantown.

"I've been tight with Coach (JaJuan) Seider for a long time," Jefferson told BlueGoldNews.com. "West Virginia is the school for me."

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound defensive end from Itawamba Community College is listed as a three-star recruit by Scout.com and also had offers from the likes of Cal, Iowa State, Kansas State, Maryland, Miami (Fla.), South Alabama, South Florida and Utah State.

Jefferson said one of his biggest attributes when getting ready to play and make an impact at the next level is his versatility, and it's something he hopes can pay off for him at WVU.

"I can play all over the field," he said. "West Virginia says they want to use me as a defensive end, but I might get to play some outside linebacker too."
