Offensive Outlook: Texas

There's only so much a team can take from any one game. The prime theme for West Virginia seems to be limiting their own mistakes while reducing self-inflicted errors. Here, running backs coach JuJuan Seider, along with skill players Kevin White and Wendell Smallwood, delve deeper into that issue and preview the upcoming road match-up against Texas.

First, Seider details the decisions to play some running backs over others in the fourth quarter of the loss to TCU. He also speaks to Texas' veteran leadership, its overall talent level, UT's defensive ends and the opportunity for the Mountaineer offense to see a lot of single high coverage.

Kevin White says he knew the time was coming when defenses would adjust, and now that they have, he reiterated his need to run better routes and manage some productivity against double teams. The senior, who has six catches for 55 yards in the last two games, said that he can "only do so much, but I can do a better job of it, of course."

Back Wendell Smallwood speaks to the mental recovery for the Mountaineers, the Texas defense and its improvement, UT's ability to tackle in space and the importance of pass blocking against a defense that often brings corners and has new, but active, players at the end slots.
