Jefferson Back in WVU Fold

Junior college defensive end Larry Jefferson verbally committed to West Virginia on Tuesday following his official visit to campus. It marks the second time that the junior college defensive end has committed to the Mountaineer program.

West Virginia received its 23rd commitment in the class of 2015 when Itawamba (Miss.) Community College defensive end Larry Jefferson pledged to the Mountaineers.

"I have committed to WVU, it's official," Jefferson confirmed to BlueGoldNews.com.

Jefferson, 6-foot-4, 225-pounds, selected West Virginia for the second time in two months, first committing in October. He chose the Mountaineers over Iowa State, South Florida, California and Kansas State, among others. Between his West Virginia announcements, he was briefly committed to the Cyclones.

Listed as a defensive end, Jefferson possesses the ability to play outside linebacker position in the Mountaineer defensive scheme.

This past season he recorded more than 30 tackles and six sacks for Itawamba.
