More WVU Bowl Preview: Mitchell and Crook

As West Virginia continues its preparation for the 56th annual Liberty Bowl, cornerbacks coach Brian Mitchell and offensive line mentor Ron Crook face widely varying challenges. But both have a common ground in having a fully healthy assortment of players, as well as improving depth headed into the bowl game.

Mitchell, below, speaks to the new contract signed by coordinator Tony Gibson, his positional match-ups against Texas A&M, the Aggie wideouts and their potential size issue, and WVU's ability to recognize play selections - and the positive and negative associated - based upon the similar offensive stylings between the Mountaineers and the SEC school.

Crook says he expects to be able to play two to three additional linemen outside the starting five, as West Virginia did in the regular season finale versus Iowa State. Crook also details the development of Quinton Spain and Mark Glowinski and notes the athletic length of A&M and its quality young players - and the challenges their range provides.
