Holgorsen Gives Trickett, Liberty Bowl Update

West Virginia's initial on-site bowl practices have exhibited the energy an enthusiasm desired by head coach Dan Holgorsen. The Mountaineers, however, will be without Clint Trickett after the quarterback was not cleared to play last week following a fifth concussion in 14 months, Holgorsen also detailed WVU's academic casualties and detailed his thoughts on team focus and more.

Along with Trickett, West Virginia will be sans defensive lineman Brandon Jackson - a redshirt junior who previously announced he was not going to play his senior season - and safety Cullen Christian. The duo are both academically ineligible, and now both (Cullen is a senior) will miss the final game of their collegiate career. Holgorsen also spoke about the heal of All-American wideout Kevin White, and detailed his approach to bowl games over the last 14 years.
