Team Leaders Prep For Cyclones

Iowa State will be West Virginia's biggest test yet in the nascent Big 12 men's basketball season. The Cyclones are ranked 17th in the latest AP poll, and are looking for their second Big 12 win of the year, and an RPI-booster over the Mountaineers.

Devin Williams said stopping a proficient Iowa State offense is just a mentality, and getting up for the challenge of a tough opponent. Although the Cyclones are one of the best offensive team in the country, he believes the game is going to come down to a few late stops.

One of the biggest surprises of the year has been Gary Browne's improved play. Browne has become a key component to both the offense and defense, and continues to hit clutch shots. The guard's ability to create his own shot has made him a hard player to defend. Iowa State has all five starters scoring in double digits, and Browne said creating turnovers and forcing them to take tough shots will be key for Saturday's matchup.
