VIDEO: Guards break down WVU win over OU

No. 16 West Virginia used a big team effort to down No. 18 Oklahoma Tuesday night.

After the game, a pair of West Virginia guards discussed what went right for the Mountaineers.

For Jevon Carter and Juwan Staten, their successes came in different ways against the Sooners.

Carter, a freshman, played well by scoring in bunches - especially late - and using his defensive prowess to get a few steals en route to an 18-point game in which he also pulled down seven rebounds, dished out three assists and had three steals.

For Staten, the Big 12 preseason Player of the Year who has been averaging 17 points per game, it was about controlling the game. He struggled shooting the ball, finishing 1-for-9 from the field, but had eight assists and one turnover and helped his teammates get in position to make plays.
